New @boticca designer Sogol Jamdar is inspired by armour from my ancestral homeland :-)
This necklace is inspired by the typical blue ponds found in old Persian houses. I remember how they used to be filled with gold fish. The inspiration is so well reflected in the necklace.
Each necklace is handmade by the designer herself and some of her necklaces can take her a few days to make.
You can see her full shop here.
I love this new designer on @boticca from Japan called Shingo Matsushita who makes jewelry out of silk threads used for Kimonos knitted on top of sterling silver and precious metals.
We had the pleasure of meeting this talented designer in Tokyo in March and his work is simply stunning. Each piece is unique and handmade.

Jazz Liberatorz - Clin d’Oeil (Intro)
If you like jazz and hip hop, then Jazz Liberatorz is for you. This French trio gives homage to the golden age of hip hop (A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, J Dilla etc.) and jazz music.
This intro might be one of the best album intros ever. And the album itself is an absolute delight.
Pismo feat. @Shing02 - Velodrome (@Nomak Remix)
One of the US’s most underrated rappers with Japan’s finest: hip hop artist Shing02 and beatmaker Nomak. I’m a big fan of Nomak’s mellow jazzy hip hop soul beats that infuse elements of nature so when I came across the remix of this track, I knew it had to be good. Boy, was I right.
Shing02’s verse is simply insane. He is blessed with quite a flow.
I’m thinking of getting this scarf from Japanese designer Yasuyuki Machida from @boticca. What do you think?
His inspiration comes from creating forms that emulate crumpled paper and dies his scarves using the Japanese technique of shibori.
Robert Glasper feat. Erykah Badu - Afro Blue
Discovered this joint in a bar in Tokyo (they really know good neo soul and hip hop out there) by jazz pianist Robert Glasper whose album Black Radio fuses hip hop and jazz (my kind of album!). Erykah just kills it as usual.
Q-Tip & Mos Def at Rock the Bells performing “Excursions” from ATCQ’s legendary 2nd studio album “The Low End Theory”.
One of the best album kick-offs I’ve ever heard. Respect to Tip for digging out and sampling Art Blakey & the Jazz Messenger’s A Chant for Bu (1973).
